VOCAL ENSEMBLE

Our mission

Founded in July 2021 in Montreal, our mission is to enrich the cultural landscape of Quebec and Canada by fostering a vibrant music scene through exceptional performances that deepen the understanding and appreciation of choral music.

We maintain the highest standards in preparing and performing both classical and contemporary choral works, showcasing masterpieces from renowned composers.

CREO is uniquely composed of highly skilled musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, collaborating to present technically demanding and culturally rich vocal repertoire.

Our ensemble continuously expands its repertoire and engages with new artists, believing that music is essential for a fulfilling life. Through our performances, we aim to enhance the artistic experience of our members while fostering a greater appreciation for choral music.

All members of the CREO Ensemble are accomplished musicians, dedicated to their craft and to the celebration of choral music.

Hasmik Gasparyan

Director / Founder of CREO

As a solo soprano with a robust portfolio of collaborations, Hasmik Gasparyan takes pride in representing and promoting Armenian musical culture while striving to spark dialogue among Canadian communities and contribute to the cultural diversity of Canada. To this end, she has founded and participated in various vocal ensembles and choirs, including the Sanctus and Hayk vocal quartets, as well as the Petit Hayk Armenian Children's Choir of Montreal.

Hasmik has successfully fostered cultural cooperation between Armenian and Canadian musicians. She has had the privilege of engaging the Montreal community in discovering Armenian cultural heritage, thereby creating visibility and awareness among Armenian Canadians about their roots and heritage. Hasmik believes it is crucial to invite individuals to interact, create, and contribute to the cultural development and enrichment of local communities. In 2021, amid the pandemic, she remained true to her values and had the courage to found the CREO Vocal Ensemble.
